Missing Windows XP Wireless Zero Configuration

My wireless connection stopped working after 6 months with no trouble.
The Dell TrueMobile WLAN 1300 utility sees the network, but using the
network connection in Windows doesn't see it. The Dell Tech asked me
to look for the Wireless Zero Configuration through the management and
services folder and it isn't there. I ran the Windows XP repair disk
and it still isn't there. The PCI card sees the network, but I can't
connect. Any suggestions?

Disappeared? Did you reinstall and not install SP1? Did you remove the
SP1 update? Try from a command prompt type: sfc /scannow and sfc will
examine all system files are make replacements as necessary.

Yes, disappeared. I did not reinstall Windows XP. I used the repair
option on the CD that came with my laptop. That was Windows XP with
SP1. Will your suggestion put it back?

Dunno. I've not heard reports of services disappearing unless SP1 was
not installed. Verify that SP1 is installed from Control Panel > System
> General Tab. It should report Version 2002, Service Pack 1. If it

does not then...
