I need a microsoft hotfix to fix the slow startup of my wireless network.
They say the fix exists, but it's not downloadable. Can anyone supply me
with this fix?:

Here's why I need it:
Ever since I started using my new Acer 1501LMi laptop, the integrated
802.11g network card (Broadcom WLAN 802.11g mini pci module) has been
bugging me. Once I got it to work, even the slightest change to my
configuration triggers the problem: it takes between 30 and 90 seconds for
my wireless connection to kick in after i boot. I found out i need a
specific hotfix. (read the paragraph below this one before you answer "you
need the wpa rollup package) Microsoft says it exists, but that i have to
contact a support desk, preferably that of my hardware supplier. Acer
doesn't have a clue. In answer to my question, they send me a url to a press
page containing photographs of my laptop. interesting, but utterly useless.
The card is made by Broadcom. Broadcom points to manufactures of the
computers the card comes with for download. So no luck there.
I tried installing, uninstalling and reinstalling the card drivers, the
microsoft wpa update and the microsoft wpa rollup package (which was
supposed to fix the connection delay). I even tried starting over using the
recovery cd and reinstalling my applications one by one, creating a recovery
point before each install. Whenever the problem occured, i would revert to a
recovery point. Even that stopped working after a while, so i'm now stuck
with this, non life threatening, but highly irritating problem.
so......HELP!!!
Thanks,
E.
