missing folder in registry - cannot login

I should have a folder called LanMan before the Real Mode
Net. I do not. The othe 98 machines do. I cannot get
the microsoft logon to come up. Can this help? See
example below

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curr entVersio
n\
Network\Real Mode Net

The LanMan key you are referring to lists details (simple xor
encrypted passwords etc.) of the current shares you have on your
computer so if you haven't shared anything out you might not have this
key there.
