Hi Gurus,

I am trying to create a virtual network to my office and as per the docs
provided I need to select Authentication EAP type as 'Protected EAP ( PEAP)
in windows XP. But to my surprise that option is missing from the drop down
list. I only see smart card and ED5 options.

Is there any way I could install a patch or download this EAP software or
any suggestions to make it appear in the drop down list would be appreciated.

Thanks for you help in advance.

Regards,
Venzy

Do you have Service Pack 3 for Windows XP installed? I believe that is a
requirement for PEAP functionality in Windows XP.

I'm not 100% sure about this, but you probably also must have Windows XP
Professional Edition.

You can get SP3 through Windows Update or at

Actually, don't copy/paste that registry key info. The text did not post correctly.

Use the first method.
