Missing C drive in Win98 network

Win 98SE.

Four computers in Network Neighborhood and all C drives and
shared printers are visible and usable....with one exception.
I have one machine whose C drive shared access is set at
'full' and whose attached printer is shared, but the rest of
the network can only 'see' the printer and not the C drive.
I have reinstalled File & Printer Sharing several times on
this computer and note that the C drive shows up in Windows
Explorer with the 'shared' symbol clearly shown but I cannot
get the drive to appear in Network Neighborhood - and of
course it is not available to the other machines in the
Workgroup. The shared printer on this machine is visible and
functions normally.

Comments/suggestions/help appreciated...

Try creating a new user account and share the drive again under the new user
account. I've had a similar problem at one time and that fixed it.

Glad I could help!

Also saw a similar user account issue with someone logging in with the same
user name (Win98), but using upper / lower case passwords - and getting login
errors to a client / server application. Added a new user account and it
fixed the problem.

The user account issue you were having, happened to me on an XP computer -
took awhile to figure that one out. Strange things happen.
