Minimum Speed for Domain Traffic over WAN.

When designing a network with portions on a WAN, what is considered the
minimum bandwidth needed to service Domain Controller traffic correctly?

Can I have it in upstream and downstream? Is any two-way Satellite adequate
to the task?
