Can I expect to be able to do much with a IBM Pentium I laptop running Win
98 and a Microsoft wireless card? I want to be able to get on the internet
at motels. I can get on my wireless network at home , though the range is
not too great. My son has tried it at the hotel where he works but he can't
get it on their network. Any ideas?

If it can get on at home but not at some other location then the
likelihood is that the hotel has encryption and you will need to know
the key.
