Minimal RSS-viewer ?

So what's this new crap, which I can just about read with a
plain ascii-viewer? And why can't standard browsers: opera
lynx, elinks render it. Perhaps even vi can do it?
What shall I use to read it, not necessarily with the fancy
fonts?

Opera works with rss feeds. Have a link to a site that isn't
working?
