Hi,

Maybe someone here can help me. I use minicom to connect to the console of
several types of routers and switches and now I have a problem with Nortel
Switches. Most of the times I can connect just fine but sometimes I get
information on the console from the switch but I can't seem to be able to
send anything to the switch. Is there anyone here that has seen this
before? Is this a settings problem within Minicom of maybe a cabling
problem?

Greetings,
Jan Hugo Prins

Wild guess number 1:
Make sure that minicom is configured not to use hardware flow
control. In fact, turn flow control off completely.

I think that this was indeed the problem. Seems to work ok now.

Thanks a lot,
