Hey all
I got as prostar laptop (d400s) that could have been
built in with
wifi, but was sold without it. While I like my 802.11b wifi
card, it
does stick out and am afraid one of these days it will snap
off. I was
looking inside my laptop but don't have a Mini PCI slot,
instead
(based on checking the user manual) they have a USB
connector spot on
the motherboard, then connect a cable from that to another
end on the
card.
I contacted them and they refuse to sell me the stuff to
connect
myself, but want me to ship it in, pay for them to install
it, then
pay for the 802.11b only card on top of it (well over
$100!!!!).
I looked on EBAY but all I keep finding are cards that
connect
directly to a MiniPCI slot, which I don't have. Does anyone
have a
clue what I can do Any sources? How about a MiniPCI slot
adapter with
cable connection to that onboard USB connector???
Thanks
Nero

Okay I did a ALOT more research into this and found out the
connect is
called "mini-USB" instead of mini-PCI. Now I seen Sager as
well as a
couple others have these for bluetooth as well. I just want
to know if
anyone can directly me to where I can purchase a Wireless G
mini-USB
module plus connecting cable??? Thanks!!
