OK, thank you. I spent a couple of hours on google also.
I found the dq883a fairly rapidly but all the websites carrying it
give the description as "HP MINI BLUETOOTH PCI" whereas in the details
it says it has a USB interface.
Having been around the fairly useless HP websites I think that
"dg883a" covers a range of these, some mini-PCI, some PCMCIA.
The Toshiba route looks more promising, e.g.
http://www.softjam.co.uk/acatalog/Bo..._Internal.html
but I can't find any data on any of these.
Various firms make them e.g. USI in Taiwan, Alps, Intersil do combined
BT+WIFI chipsets but none of these people will sell them direct to
what they regard as an end user.
The basic problem with any mini-PCI *RF* product is that the
manufacturer (e.g. Toshiba) isn't allowed to sell it alone; they may
sell it only as an add-on for a particular machine e.g. a laptop.
I need these to go inside an ix104 tablet PC, which is an unusual
application in itself....
Peter.
