Milton Keynes broadband

Im thinking of buying some property in the area of Milton Keynes but Ive
heard the
area is very bad for broadband.

Any know one whats available and is 8mbps+ available ?

Weren't they slower because MK was built in the 70s and 80s with 21st
century fibre optics all over the shop, and then the 21st century ended up
with, er, twisted copper to deliver Mbps of broadband over ADSL.

But this site would seem to suggest that BT have got their act together to
some extent:

Depends which bit you live in. I have had 512k (now 1Mb) from Pipex in South
MK for almost 4 years. I am just over 3km from the exchange, so 1Mb is all I
can get - but Easynet are in my exchange offering up to 8Mb - a friend who
lives 1.5Km from the same exchange gets that fine, and is deliriously happy
with the speed.

Monkston and Loughton are the only two MK estates where there are any
problems, and these are being quickly resolved. The rest of MK can get 512k
minimum, and higher speeds as services and distance from exchanges allow.

Try www.ntlworld.com, find the broadband page and type in some MK
postcodes.
