"MiFi" recommednations: unlocked, and using AA/AAA batteries

Is there a good MiFi (or -alike) device that is unlocked, works on
most 3G and GSM networks (4G would be a bonus, nott really required)
and can be powered by AA/AAA batteries?

Of course, none ofthe Novatel MiFis use AA/AAA batteries (but
rechargeable Li-ion), so they don't 'do exactly what I asked'...
