microsoft wireless b base station

My wireless b base statin can not be found when using the
cd setup thingy and I cant access it through Internet
explorer. I have used the blue microsoft cable and many
others in trying to get it to work. I need help.!

Try to ping the router (run Command Prompt and enter ping
192.168.2.1) If this works, then the hardware connection is
fine.

Otherwise, poweroff the router, wait 3mn, power back on.
Reset the router using the reset hole in the back using a
clip. Try connecting with a port other than 1 (2-3). Try
ping again.

If ping works, try IE again.

If ping does not work, make sure is not a problem with the
ethernet card or its configuration. Try to connect the PC
directly to the Internet modem (make sure ICF is enabled
during the this).
