I am having a problem with a Windows 98 PC. I am receiving
a message refering to protocal number 0., Error Nmber 254.
After closing out that box the Network Box appears asking
for a password. Any responses as to how to eliminate both
of these would be greatly appreciated.

1. Remove the ipx/spx protocol. Re-install it only if you specifically
need ipx/spx (eg for LAN gaming)

2. Select "windows logon" as your primary logon instead of client for
ms networks. Then use a blank password.

Jim.
