microsoft network broadband utility problems

When I try to click on the MNBU icon it get a "microsoft
visual C++ runtime library" abmornmal program termination

If you have Hydravision or third party skinning software installed, the
broadband network utility will abort with the message you listed. To
workaround this, disable third party skinning for MSBNU components or
uninstall Hydravision.

I have the same problem and I don't have the software you
suggested disabling.

I get the runtime error when trying to install the
updates.

i click on that icon and dont get anything but a busy
signal and then nothing happens????? whats up???
