Microsoft Base station G - MN 700

I have a brand new laptop with built-in Broadcom wireless
networking card (G type) and a brand new MS Base station
G-MN 700. Until last week I was able to access the
internet wirelessly. Now, I cannot access the internet
unless I connect the laptop to the base station with a
network cable. The weird part is that I can take this
laptop to my friend's house and access the internet
wirelessly using his base station. The wireless internet
does not work only in my house, even sitting next to the
base station. I have reset the base station and have also
followed the troubleshooting steps outlined in the
Microsoft hardware website.

Any suggestions as to what is going on? It is very
frustrating that the built-in adapter does not talk to
the base station.

Thanks in advance.

I am having this exact same problem connecting my new
laptop to an existing wireless base station.

Does anyone have a resolution?

Thanks,

Gary

I had this problem and I have not completely solved it
yet but I had to go into the bios and "turn on" my
network card before I could even get my computer to see
the wireless base station.

It now sees the base station and says I am connected but
it is not assigning an IP address and I can't figure out
way.
