Microsoft Adapter

I have the router on main compter, works god and My
second compter did have the wireless B adfapter and it
worked good. Lost everything on the second computer and
when I run the set up wizard in the CD to reinstall the
software for the adapter it tells me I'm not connected to
the internet. I know that and can't get passed that point.
