Thinking about mounting a directional antenna on a metal slope roof. The antenna
does not have to be on the peak to get a good sightline. Anyone know if I need
to be concerned about reflection off the roof?

Think of the roof like a mirror, and the antenna like a torch.
The roof will reflect the radio waves.
If the antenna is not too close (20cm?) then you won't get much effect
other than this.

I'm thinking that as long as I use a directional with reasonable rejection,
there shouldn't be too much a problem. Thanks...

Probably not.
Keep it a few wavelengths away, and you won't distort the radiation
pattern.
A little mast (1m) might not be a bad idea, if being very cautios.
