Will an notebook stand that is made of metal interfere with wireless
network reception? The notebook stand consits of a metal plate with a
lip that the notebook sits on. The plate can be tilted at various
angles to raise the level of the notebook screen so there is metal
under the notebook and metal from the lip along the front edge of the
notebook.

Hi
The interferences of Wireless consists of signals that come through the
Antenna, thus the cover of the computer, metal or not, is not relevant.
If the Antenna is masked by the metal, then nothing would be received. Noise
as well as the real signal.

The antenna is in the lid of the notebook. If your stand covers the back of
the LCD, then you're unlikely to get good reception from signals originating
from behind the notebook, but the real effects are difficult to predict.

Thanks. The metal stand does not cover any part of the LCD so it sounds
like it should work.
