Carl,
The MESSANGER Service was not installed when teh system was installed? So when you go into the Servcies tab under computer management, you do
not see Messanger?
You can test to see if the service is loaded but not exposed in the GUI by dropping to a command prompt and typing:
"net start messenger" or "net stop messenger"
The only way that i can think to get the service loaded (if it truly is missing from the "Servcies" tab and not simply disabled) is to perform a repair on the OS.
