Mentor ADSL Router - Cable distance.

Hi all,

I have read a load of bad reviews about the mentor routers but to be
honest havent had a problem until now.

I just tried connecting a pc downstairs to the router up stairs
(15meter RJ45 straight through) but have no connection. I have tested
the cable with a tester and get full lights in the right order for a
straight through connection. And if I connect the pc using a 1 meter
cable it works fine!

Is there a limited distance these routers can push?? and is there any
way of increasing it???

Not that I've heard of. They should perform to a minimum of the cat 5e
max cable specs which is 100m end to end.
Try checking your cable properly, and if you made it yourself remake
the ends. Sounds like a duff connection somewhere.
