medion router

Hi All - I noticed that several people have found that port forwarding
on the Medion Router as supplied by Auldi amonst others has not worked
even after a firmware patch. This is what i do - i give suppliers the
opportunity to correct THEIR fault by sending me a new piece of
hardware. If it does not work out of the box after knowing about the
situation for more that 1 year in this case, i ask for my money back. I
did this and after some discussions with the area manager of aldi's he
gave me a refund - as the product was not fit for purpose. Now i will
buy a draytek 2800vg. The area manager is going to see what's going on.
We are to easy on suppliers, always take it back and get a full refund
- this will soon improve their quality control.

They aren't going to improve the quality when Aldi beats them
down for their buy in price. Aldi is probably quite happy to refund
on a few out of it's markup.
Getting a factory in China to improve quality when they have
moved on to making another product isn't going to work either.
They just say "How would you like to buy in 10,000 hard drive
MP3 players for under a fiver each?" and "We can do 5Mpx
cameras for under a tenner."
