What/how is the best way to measure total network Bandwidth utilization?
I’m trying to make a case for replacing our 4 year old 100baseT stuff with 1
Gig switches.
We are in a project that is going to require 2 new switches any way. Our
servers are attached to a 1 Gig switch but the infrastructure is clients
connecting through 100baseT Hubs and switches.
I can do packet capture and utilization of bandwidth on each server NIC but
that is not the reality of the Network bandwidth that is just specific to
that server at that time.
I need to figure out how to measure the total network/bandwidth utilization.
Any ideas?
