After setting up ME and XP PC's with the same workgroup,
then setting on print sharing on the ME system. I am not
seeing the shared printer. On checking the workgroups on
the XP system the ME PC is showing as an icon, but when
you try to access the details of the ME system you get a
security error pointing to the ME system having an admin
problem.

Please reply to this message in the news group (not by E-mail) with
more information to help other people understand the problem.

What exactly happens when you click the icon for the ME PC? What is
the complete text of the error message?

Can each computer ping itself and the other computer from a command
prompt? Try pinging by IP address and by name. For example:

ping 192.168.1.2
ping computer

addressed directly to me in E-mail or news groups.

Checked out network using ping tests as I had already
done. Tried an extra PC on the network wit a network
sniffer to check if all the PC's were on the network and
sending data all IP's were shown seding data. So the
problem was with some restrictions on one of the PC's
Traced the problem to Norton Firewall running on the ME
system. Had to introduce the network IP to the firewall
allowable networks.
