I am trying to network an XP and an ME(client) computer
and share an HP 1000 printer. When trying to put the ME
drivers on the XP computer, I am asked to insert a disc
for Windows 95, 98, and ME. None of my disks meet that
description. It is looking for a file named
hp_install_P1000. I can't find that on any disks that I
have/ Where to look? Other options?

The needed drivers should be on the HP driver disc that came with the
printer.

There's actually no need to put the ME drivers on the XP computer.
You can just load them on the ME computer if, and when, it asks for
them during printer installation on ME.
