ME network password???

Please help... I am trying to connect my pc w/ME to a mac
w/panther. I have never done this before and am learning
as I go and I have hit a new snag. I now can see the
apple in my workgroup and can share my internet connection
with the apple. I click on the apple though and it asks me
for the network password, and I never made a network
password. I tried to go to passwords in control panel and
other passwords is not an option. please help. thanks
