Hi.

I have a SMC wireless "B" router.

I have a new notebook and it sees the router no problem
along with a few others.

I can get it to conect wirelessly however it jumps from
11 to 54 to 1 Mbps over and over therefore causing lost
conections....when it jumps to 54 it drops the network
name.

I have messed with the settings and it works better in
the "B" only setting.

Thoughts.

Nick

Nick, you'd be better off contacting the support section for SMC. This
newsgroup supports Microsoft's Broadband Networking hardware and software
only, not general networking. However, I might say to check which band
you're using. The 802.11b devices only go to 11, not 54.
