I Have a W98se PC setup to provide ICS on a small lan
connected via a 10/100Mb switch. All connect at 100Mb.

If I connect to the Internet with Windows 2000 pro, my
connection and download speed is great. However if I
configure the same PC with any other Windows version (XP
Poro included) I get very poor connection speed.

Dowe W2000 Pro use different communications settings, I
use the default public IP address of 192.168.0.x /C

Maybe some Microsoft god is listening...

I am at my wits end.

Maybe if you invoked the Microsoft Devil you'd have better luck.

After being targeted with gigabytes of trash by the "SWEN" worm, I have
concluded we must conceal our e-mail address. Our true address is the
mirror image of what you see before the "@" symbol. It's a shame such
steps are necessary. ...Charlie
