Maximum range of wireless network.

Hi guys,

I've ordered 2 D-Link DWL-900AP and according to the spec sheet that it has
a range of 400metres for outdoors in an ideal situation. For those that
have wireless experience, what's the realistic range. I plan to test it out
next week from my parents flat to mine with a line of sight through the
window with a distance of about 200 metres. What do you guys think.

That's really pushing it, Ian. There are much stonger devices out there.
D-Link do some with a theoretical range of 1500m outdoors. If the signal
proves to be too small, then you could consider an external Wifi antenna.
