Max dsl expected download speed?

I have just been upgraded to max 8mb and as expected with 57db/24db on 1mb I
am connecting at 3424. It did connect at 2880 in the early hours. I am on
the first day of my 10 days and I have re-booted the router 3 times and it
stays at same speed with line stats of 57db/5.9db mn.

With usenet I usually max a 1mb account and with it at 3424 it is
downloading at 237kbs max. It was same when connected at 2880 too. Is that
about right or will it be faster as that seems like a 2mb speed. Or do you
think my will only manage that sort of max download speed?

Wait until the end of your 10 days and see if your download speed increases.
