In the recent BT/BTY upgrade I was left behind on 1Meg because I was told my
line could not sustain 2Meg.
Now the checker on
http://www.bt.com/broadband/ tells me the following:
"Your exchange will have Max ADSL broadband by 30th November 2005. Our
initial test on your line indicates that your line should be able to support
a potential broadband line rate of 4Mbps or greater. The actual line rate
supportable will be determined during the first 10 days of use, after which
time the highest stable rate possible will be set. If you decide to place an
order, a further test will be performed to confirm if your line is suitable
for the service you wish to purchase. Thank you for your interest."
Is this good news or will they come back and say, yes, even higher speeds
are available but not for you?
