Greetings everyone and thank you!

I have a network with approx 250 WindowsXP workstations and 2 Windows2K3
servers. I am consistently getting notices in the system event log that
state a workstation believes that it is the master browser. This is most
annoying and I am not sure how to go about disabling MB for all the
workstations. Can someone offer any advise on how to do this enterprise
wide?

Thanks in Advance

Wayne

just a question: is the workstation located in a different subnet?
If yes, this behaviour is normal for proper maintenance of the network
neighbourhood view within the subnet.

Olaf,

Thanks for the input and yes you are correct. That is the case as I have 3
diffrent subnets.

Then all is good...
