mapping into w2kpro that has 2 IP addresses?

I have a w2kpro host that has 2 static IP addresses on the
same nic. They are different /24 subnets x.x.0.10 and
x.x.1.10. (Static IP, Advanced, Add IP)

Need to map or cross-map drives on 98se <-> w2k
connections. Some 98se systems are on subnet x.x.0 and
others on x.x.1

Win98se hosts can only connect to (and be connected to)
when the first-listed ip address in w2k host matches the
subnet of the 98se. That means only one group of 98se
hosts can do drive mapping. 98se can't map or be mapped by
subnet listed second. Ping to/from any of the addresses
works just fine.

Is this a flaw with w2k drive mapping or with 98se drive
mapping or both?

I vote for the former.
