Is there a way to map drives with out the use of a logon script for users?
we have about 20 groups of drive mappings we have to set up for differnt
groups of users and having a logon script for each of them gets a little
annoying... I've seen systems that have them just mapped and no visible sign
of a logon script running... how would you do this? thanks

You could have everyone run the same script. There are a lot of options -
IFMEMBER in your batch file, KIXtart, other kinds of scripts, etc....you
could post in m.p.windows.server.scripting for some help.

Hi

For some VBScript examples, take a look under "Group Membership Tests" and
"Logon Scripts" under "Free VBScript Code" at
http://www.rlmueller.net/

You will also find logon script examples with group testing etc. at
http://cwashington.netreach.net as well.

E.g. here:
