Hi all

Some of my users use a program that use a mapped network drive from their pc
(win xp pro) to the server (2003). For some reason they cannot connect
sucessfully to the program after each time they log on to the pc for the
first time e.g in the morning. They got the expert in and he said it is
because their pc losses connectivity with the network drive. I also have
some mapped drives and noticed that the forst time when i try and access the
network drive it says "disconnected" but when i open it the status change to
"conneted" again. So, it seems the issue the program is having is because
the map drive is disconnected until someone open the map drive to connect it
again

Hope i did explain myself properly. Pls help me to "keep" the drive in a
connected state specially after they "first logons"?

Change the Registry key value of
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Servic es\lanmanserver\parameters\autodisconnect to -1. (decimal, not hex...)

This turns autidisconnect off.

Let me know if that works,

Mark
