Hi
If you go on broadband can you only have one phone number? ISDN used to
offer two, wondered if the same package was available with BB.
Cheers B Bear

Though they do offer a VoIP system. The down side is that you get a
totally different number, (non geographical) and the calls cost a flat
5p/min peak, free off peak. AIUI.

Incoming calls I believe are all 5p/min to the call originator.

You can't use the IP number for fax or data.

There is only one. <lightning strikes upraised sword>

You can get Broadband Voice, which you plug into your ADSL router, and
it then acts like a phone line. (with some caveats, no 999 calls for example)

7 quid a month, from BT, and the hardware is free at the moment.
The number is not a local number though.

You could in theory have many of these plugged into your ADSL line, but
only 4 or so would work for calls at any one time, due to data rates.

Just one, but if you need an number number just for incoming calls, you can
have a look at BT CallSign - that may be suitable.

No, outgoing calls actually cost the same as BT Together Option 2

Only the one number?

Surely the alternative ringing option, BT Callsign is available on a BT line
with ADSL?
