does anyone know of a link to a manual for the siemens 5830 - tried siemens
site and no joy.

or - does anyone know how to connect to this router to admin it?

i have the username and password - but what is the web interface settings,
port number etc.

if anyone can link to a manual i could even try to link on the console if
the settings are available.

thanks,

kev

If it was supplied by BT I wouldn't meddle or else you will be hit
with a very hafty bill, far more than if you actually sourced it
elsewhere...

thanks for the advice.

we've got a manager's mobile number now so we'll just keep bugging him.

I'm running one of these.

It depends on how the router was configured before you got it. The
default IP address for the router is 192.168.254.254, login is superuser
and password is admin. But it's very likely that it's an ex-BT one and
therefore crippled.

It's very similar to the Efficient Networks 5861 - only better (Siemens
have rebadged it - actually Siemens own Efficient Networks).

You'll find plenty of help on:

Best wishes, David
