Outside of getting tons of unwanted advertisements, what exactly does this
gain over the existing Usenet newsgroups?
[compton ~]$ grep mandr .newsrc | column
alt.fr.os.mandrake cz.comp.linux.mandrake
alt.mandrake-security.fr cz.comp.mandrake
alt.os.linux.mandrake gmane.linux.mandrake.cooker.cvs
alt.os.linux.mandrake.fr gmane.linux.mandrake.cooker.devel
alt.os.linux.mandriva gmane.linux.mandrake.newbie
alt.pl.comp.os.linux.mandrake gmane.linux.mandrake.newbie.french
alt.pl.comp.os.linux.mandriva it.comp.os.linux.mandrake
[compton ~]$
Looks to me that there is an adequate number of newsgroups such that I don't
have to waste my time plowing through extra crap from Google, never mind
increasing the risk of address harvesting.
