Management Tool Won't Open

I can't seem to get to my management tool on my MN-700. I
do not have the internet sharing set up, and have tried
both 192.168.1.1 and 192.168.2.1 ... any other ideas??

If it is not setup yet you may not be able to access it
using wireless. May have to access it by a ethernet cable
connection from the PC to the router. If you haven't
changed its address

It is set up, though I had problems with it for a bit...
I could not set it up as a router on a pre-existing
network, so it thinks the cable that is coming from a
modem when it is actually coming from another router. I
am not sure why this is, but I now have a functioning
router, though the speeds off of the first one have
diminished some... I would like to set up some port
options on it though, hence I need the management tool. I
just can't seem to get to it.

You will have to set up the base station in the bridging
mode. Connect the MN-700 to your PC using an ethernet
cable. Disconnect it from the other router and reset it
with a paper clip. then you can access it with
http://192.168.2.1/login.htm
To be able to set it up in the bridging mode follow the
instructions in the link below. The instruction are about
halfway down the page. They are for a MN-500, just do the
same for your 700. The important item is assigning the
700 its IP address. The address has to be in the range
for the router to see it. I have used 192.168.2.50 on MS
products.
Then you can still log on and manage the base station
using its new address while it is bridging.

Still can't access it, I recently installed Mozilla
Firefox 1.0... could that have changed an internet
setting needed to access the management tool???
I am still mystified why everything works, but I can't
access the management tool...

I am still not sure why I couldn't set things up from my
laptop, but no worries.
I am now trying to figure out how to let an application
use a TCP port... I found good instructions at this

but the options no longer exist now that I have used the
router in a bridged way... do I need to set this up on
the other router now?
(I'm trying to get Azureus set up to do bittorrent
downloads for my linux set up, and can't get past a NAT
error, but that may be due to the other router now...)

Yes, you will have to port forwarding on the router.

You can't access the base station if it was set up in the
bridging mode by a setup program.
