Making shared folders

Running windows 2000 server with win98 clients and trying to make new shared
folders in my document on server. Never had a problem until now. What's
happening now is that I create a new folder on server and share it with
clients. It shows up as created on server, but the clients don't recognize
it. I have rebooted both the client and server.

Sounds like the permissions for the new folders has not been set, double check
them. There are two places to set the permissions but I don't remember the
exact steps, and since I only use 2000 at work I can look it up right now.

win98 will see this share \\server\drive\folder but not this
\\server\drive\folder\folder2

so a share to \\server\mydocuments would work but not
\\server\mydocs\folder
