Is there a way to use an old 514 D-Link wireless router that I have as
just a repeater or access point to extend the range/performance of my
network?

If so, can somebody please provide instructions?

Thanks.

I don't know that partickular moddel, but usually disabling "DHCP
server" on the router, and not use the WAN port then you have an access
point.
