I have a Redhat9 internet server that connects via ADSL and eth0 to the
web with Iptables firewall. My home LAN is on eth1 and I have 2xWin98
desktops and a WinXP laptop. The laptop connects quite happily via a
VPN client supplied by my employer to my employer's network. I have no
problems at all.
Now my wife wishes to connect to her company's network via "vanilla" VPN
on my laptop, ie she hasn't been provided with a VPN client and we need
to configure a VPN connection on WinXP.
I have two questions if I may:
1) Do I need to do anything "special" to my Linux RH9 system to allow
my wife to connect via the WinXP laptop to her work via VPN?
2) After going through the WinXP "Add a Network Connection" process, I
end up with an icon under the "Dial Up" category which wants to use the
laptop's builtin modem. But there is no modem connection - I have only
the eth0 connection to the web. Why is the VPN setup/icon ending up
under "Dial Up" and not under "VPN Connection" as I have seen in the
tutotials?
Thanks in Advance.
