We have a HP Proliant DL740 R01 G1 server that has two network cards. We want
both network cards to act as one. Ive heard of network teaming used for
network cards... Any ideas?

Thanks

Look at the Proliant Support Pack. It has all the software for managing your
NICs. You might need some new NICs though, depending on that model

Correct. You can setup adapter teaming. this search result may help,

Network Teaming 5. The screen of the properties for the network adapter team displays. By default, there are two team settings and both are Automatic (Recommended). ...

In addition to the fine answers you've had aleady, someone should
probably mention that the switch you're plugging the two network cards
into has to understand how to play this game as well as the server, and
it may do this automatically, or it may require you to change the
settings on the two ports being used.
