"Slug-o-matic"

empty 2-liter plastic bottle
stapler
slug bait

Cut the top 3rd of the bottle off. Drop a spoonful of bait into the
bottom of the bottle. Push the top portion of the bottle (inverted)
into the bottom and secure with 3 or 4 staples.

Use the trap for several weeks, then toss it out. The bait is
protected from rain and pets. This trap has proven to work better
than messy beer traps or spreading the slug bait onto the ground.

I think you want one of the Windows newsgroups. ;-)

Flaw in the logic. This has to be a trap built by Bill Gates.

We have an inverted bottle top. This equals a funnel. Down the funnel goes
plenty rain and hence they system does not last for weeks but only until it
rains or the fluid in the bottom evaporates.

Besides which, hav eyou seen the slugs in my garden. They nearly had the
postman's leg off the other day!

No, no, install problem. You seem to have bottle standing up.

Angle funnel towards side and staple.
Lay bottle on side with funnel angled upwards.
Use wire hoops to keep trap from rolling around. :-P

Now isn't that just like Windows instructions? They leave the important bits
out!
