Hope someone can help.

I would like to run a mail server with Redhat 9. I've set up the FTPD
and HTPPD fine, but I have run into a wall with respect to serving
mail. I've not been able to find a tutorial that can spell out a clear
path from A to Z that works.

Don't even know why I'm posting this, because I am sure I'll get
flamed.

There's no simple, clear-cut path from A to Z because almost every
installation has specific, perhaps unique requirements. sendmail is a
standard RH9 installation.

http://groups.google.com/groups?selm...newsgroups.com will
solve most of them for you. The steps relate to editing changes in the
/etc/mail/sendmail.mc file, from which you then need to rebuild to
sendmail.cf as per instructions at the top of the file.

Hi

If you check out http://www.redhat.com/support/resour...news/mail.html
your find a how-to and a FAQ for POstfix and Sendmail on Redhat Linux.
I've used both of these How-to's when I installed my mailserver, and It
works like a charm. I used them for Redhat 7.3, 8 and 9.
Hope this is what you're looking for.

/Andy
