Hello,
I'd like to install a mail server locally. I know there are many
solutions outhere (sendmail,qmail,postfix..). I heard about some
security issues and also difficulties to setup a sendmail server for a
small intranet. Do you have some experience in setting up a local mail
server (less than 20 users). Which one should be easy to implement and
setup??

It doesn't really matter, all will work and there are no known
security issues, if you use the latest version or package upgrade
for your distro.

But then, you need some POP3 or IMAP server too, since you
probably want to receive mail in addition to sending.
