I don't know if I should be asking here or in a Mac forum somewhere, but
does anyone know how to set a mac to log into a windows 2003 domain? and
does it run the login scripts at all?
If anyone has a link about this, or can help me, i'd be exceptionally
gratefull.

TIA

I don't believe it will "log into the domain" so the login scripts are
probably not going to work. There's a good chance the sript wouldn't run on
a MAC even if it tried anyway. But the MAC can function "in general" on the
network.

On a 2003 network the MAC may experience the same problem as with DOS,
Win95, NT4.0 (pre SP3) due the the SMB thing.

There is an application called AdmitMAC that will allow you to do what you want with the MAC in Active Directory. You can do it without this application but it requires schema changes to the AD, this app is nice because it doesn't require any of those schema changes. Scripts will run on the MAC but they have to be written specifically for the MAC. This is only for OSX I think. Hope this helps!

Check out Dave from Thursby Software here: http://www.thursby.com/. We've
used it at the school district I work for and it really does work well.
Authenticate to AD, mount network folders, etc.

The latest edition of Network Computing magazine has a great article
about integrating Mac OS X "Panther" into Active Directory. (Note I
haven't had the opportunity to test this myself yet.) Panther's
Directory Access utility can help you configure Mac OS X to login to
Active Directory using an Active Directory account and password.

Logon scripts won't run (because they are x86-based and designed for Windows).

Hope this helps.
