Hello,

Currently on our network we multiple Windows clients and one mac client. The
mac (OS X Panther) works remotely and needs to connect to the VPN to gain
access to files and email. The connection, which comes through an eSoft
Instagate Firewall and passes the request through to the server, drops after
three minutes of connection. Oddly enough if I have the firewall validate the
log in the problem does not occur (of course then the problem is that the
remote windows clients can't see the domain). I have modified the Domain
policy so that a conenction is never dropped, however the problem persists.

Has anyone ecnounted this problem and come up with a fix? I have been
scouring other newsgroups and websites with little luck.

Regards,
Kris

We are having the exact same issue on all of our MAC clients. We recently
upgraded our VPN server from Windows 2000 to Windows 2003.

I haven't found any information as to the cause of this though.

I am having the same exact issue as well. My mac client keeps getting
disconnected at random times. I have been trying to look at the knowledge
base at microsoft and other resources, but I can not find the solution for
this at all. It would be great if someone knows what is going on. Thanks.
