Hi,
I'm trying to get my redhat 8.0 server to act as a VPN gateway for my
home network. It appears to work when I connect with a PC (Win XP)
but I cannot get a connection using my Mac OS X (Jaguar)'s VPN
connection dialog. The VPN server log (/var/log/pptpd.log) shows the
following:
Connect: ppp0 <--> /dev/pts/5
sent [LCP ConfReq id=0x1 <asyncmap 0x0> <auth chap MD5> <magic
0x4660b272> <pcomp> <accomp>]
rcvd [LCP ConfReq id=0x1 <asyncmap 0x0> <magic 0xd0e8229> <pcomp>
<accomp>]
sent [LCP ConfAck id=0x1 <asyncmap 0x0> <magic 0xd0e8229> <pcomp>

until the disconnect happens. It looks like the server keeps sending
an auth request but the Mac is not responding?
I'm using PoPToP as the PPTP server on the Redhat box.
any help would be appreciated.
thanks
